Cheap Drones with Cameras

Like you would with anything you purchase, it’s always a great idea to do some research before going out and buying a product. This especially applies to drones. There are hundreds of  drones available today, but this post’s primary purpose is to assist you and open up some options for what I consider are the most reliable cheap drones with cameras.

I’ve heard of many photographers, both professional and amateurs, go out and buy the most expensive, high-end quadcopters which are known for their amazing HD or 4K cameras hoping to expand their skills and portfolios, with one slight problem… they’ve never actually flown a drone before.
Now don’t get me wrong, most newer models that are being manufactured are designed to make flying a lot easier, to the point where you don’t have to do the actual “flying” yourself, with features such as Auto Pilot. However, a pilot without the basic skills of flying and controlling a drone is still taking a pretty expensive risk.

To those who wish to master the basics of flying and taking aerial shots without worrying about losing an expensive drone while practising, this post is for you. Due to the abundance of available options, selecting the best from what is offered might be difficult, but I’ve taken many things into account, including functions, features, and the cameras included.

  • I thought drones cost a lot more. Thus is great information on drones. I think this could help me . I could use some aerial photos not to mention practice flying these pieces of equipment. Do you have a drone? If you do do you take photos with it? Ooo ya one more thing, can you see the photos that the drone will take before you have the drone take a picture?
    Thank you.

    • Hey Jason, thanks for stopping by here. I have a Phantom 3 Advanced myself, although I don’t fly it all that much. I spend a lot of my free time getting my hands on other quads to review instead.
Most drones will either have a screen on the controller or can connect with your smartphone, enabling you to have full control of the camera.
Good luck if you decide to get yourself a drone,

  • Hi There, I have been looking for a cool drone for me and my two boys to have with as we live right next to a mountain and would love to see areas that we cannot climb to. I like the look of the Hubsan X4, but i notice there are no recommendations on overall flight time for any of the drones, do you know the flight time for the Hubsan?

    • Hi Peter, thanks for commenting. I’m going to add flight time to these right now. Great idea!
For the Hubsan X4, you can fly for around 6-9 minutes on a fully charged battery. I hope this helps and good luck flying up the mountain!

  • It’s funny that people are surprised that drones can get this cheap. Sure there are a bunch that go for over $10,000 lol but there’s always going to be cheap version of consumer electronics.
